Random part-sentance of the day

"Seedlessness is a highly desirable subjective quality in table grape selection..."

Skate TV

Lovely site from DC Shoes - full of skatiggery and such. It doesn't want to be the official site of skateboarding on my blog though, unlike Nathan's, from whence it came.

Tittymil

I saw this the other day when i was in Cornwall, and most excellent it is too. I wonder what other products could genuinely make the same claim? Answers to the usual address...

Jane Tyson has a lot to answer for!

I work with a lovely lady called Pip - cool name, cool lady. Anyhoo, her name reminded me of the Children's TV show Pipkins, that i used to watch when i was off of school in the 70's.

What i didn't remember however was how damn sinister the puppets looked.

What was Jane Tyson on when she made these?

Thank god for Battle of the Planets, that all i can say.

The Next Level

Best Nike ad i've seen for a while - shot by Mr Madonna.

I also love the way that the credits state that the music was 'composed' by The Eagles of Death Metal.

3122

My name is the 3122 most commonly used word in the English Language and is used slightly more than the word Killing.

Word Count has been around for a while but i recently rediscovered it - it's from the guys behind We feel fine, etc and is fascinating.

Did(70) you(14) know(83) that(7) No(51) is(9) much(101) more(54) commonly(3579) used(136) than(90) Yes(146).

Well you do now.

Design imitating life...

The design below is the new 14k logo for the Office of Government Commerce.

All well and good until someone pointed out that when it's on its side it looks like a man having a crafty shuffle.

Couldn't be more appropriate for a government organisation if you ask me.

Here's the story

Hostile Hostel

A good friend of mine works for a Hostel/hotel booking agency and received this picture from a potential client who wants to go on their books - i shit you not!

Awesome photo mind you.

Lawnemower

Teenagers, or anyone else for that matter, that self-harm is in no way something to laugh about.

That said, comedy is comedy and this made me piss myself.

Look at this.

I want to take you back to an age of innocence. An age of scrumping for apples, not stabbing for iPods. An age of being able to walk to school without any pedophilia phobias. An age of ladybirds, not ladyboys (well i hadn't heard of such a thing back then anyway).

Yes Ladybird have put all their books online, you can't read them but you can buy prints of the artwork - excellent stuff.

This was my favourite book as a child.
