Gleaming The Cube this is not

I used to skate a lot, until i was about 30 in fact. And in my mind, Gleaming the Cube is not only the greatest skate film ever made but also Christian Slater's finest hour.

I'm joking of course. That honour goes to Plan B's seminal Questionable video - without doubt!

However, below is the intro from the new Girl video, and boy o' boy have the production values increased since the early 90's - even if the skating seems more or less the same standard.

Some friends of mine made this short whilst they were working on the set of 28 Days Later. Surfing the main unit basically means borrowing the resources of the main shoot to satisfy your own short film addiction. Nice idea and nice work too.

Light em up

This short was done by a good friend of mine and his creative partner - both of whom worked on 28 Days Later, which is where they took their inspiration. Clever boys.
